Beasley Fayetteville’s WKML and Sunny 94.3 proudly announced today the results of their 38th annual Country Cares Radiothon, raising an incredible $207,273 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The radiothon, held on December 11th – 12th, 2024, brought together listeners, community members, and station staff in a collective effort filled with heartfelt storytelling, inspiring moments, and extraordinary generosity. This annual tradition underscores the powerful role of local radio in uniting communities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in need.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, based in Memphis, Tennessee, is internationally renowned for its pioneering pediatric cancer research and treatment. Thanks to initiatives like the Country Cares Radiothon, families treated at St. Jude never receive a bill for care, travel, housing, or food. These funds ensure that no child is denied life-saving care due to financial constraints.
“The funds raised during this year’s radiothon will go directly toward supporting St. Jude’s mission: ensuring no child dies in the dawn of life,” said WKML Program Director Sarah Weaver. “We are honored to partner with St. Jude and to witness the incredible generosity of our community in action.”
Beasley Media Group extends its heartfelt gratitude to the listeners, donors, and staff who made this year’s radiothon a resounding success.
