Beasley Media Group Community of Caring Initiative

The Beasley Media Group Community of Caring public service initiative is a companywide initiative across the organization’s 54 radio outlets. Started in 2018, the quarterly campaigns consist of several aspects, including a series of public service announcements aimed at shining a spotlight on important issues impacting the local communities the company serves.

Quarterly topics have ranged from the on-going opioid epidemic and the covid pandemic to bullying, racism and mental health awareness in the veteran community.

The public service announcements are supported with on-air interviews and important digital content posted across BMG’s social media channels.

The Community of Caring Initiative is a past recipient of the 2019, 2021 and 2025 National Association of Broadcasters “Service to America Award” for its impact in making a difference in the communities Beasley Media Group serves across the country.

“As a company, we take all of these issues very seriously,” said Beasley Media Group CEO Caroline Beasley. “The rotating PSA and social media campaigns, combined with our Day of Caring events across all of our markets, underscores our company’s strong commitment to making a difference in the communities we serve.”

Beasley Media Group Marks Mental Health Awareness Month with “Beasley Best Community of Caring” Initiative

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month this May, Beasley Media Group is leveraging the power of its Beasley Best Community of Caring initiative to support listeners and spark meaningful conversations around mental well-being.

Throughout the month, Beasley stations nationwide will deliver impactful on-air PSAs, share informative and relatable online stories, and extend supportive messaging through Quu dashboard displays—meeting audiences wherever they are, from home to the car.

The campaign is designed to break down stigma, encourage open dialogue, and remind individuals to check in with themselves and others. By partnering with local organizations and amplifying trusted resources, Beasley aims to connect communities with the support they need in a way that feels accessible and real.

“Mental health touches all of us in some way,” said Heidi A. Raphael, Chief Communications Officer at Beasley Media Group. “If we can use our platforms—on-air, online, and in the car—to encourage even one person to check in, reach out, or take a moment for themselves, then we’re making a difference—and that’s what Community of Caring is all about.”

Mental Health Awareness Month is not only about raising awareness—it’s about fostering connection, compassion, and action. Through its multi-platform approach, Beasley Media Group remains committed to uplifting communities and reminding every listener that they are not alone.
