WMGK-FM Announces Heavy Hitter Concert featuring John Fogerty & ZZ Top


Bala Cynwyd, PA (February 26, 2018): Beasley Media Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBGI) announces 102.9 WMGK-FM’s Heavy Hitter concert will take place on Sunday, June 24 at BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey. 

The event will serve as the official kickoff to WMGK’s Summer of Classic Rock, a collection of classic rock concerts featuring some of the most popular bands in the classic rock radio format. The event will feature superlative American Songwriter & Founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty plus ZZ Top, the Texas three-piece band whose powerful, soulful, blues-rock has sold tens of millions of records and delighted thousands of fans at concert arenas for over four decades.\"heavy

There will be plenty of activities on-site for attendees to enjoy! WMGK-FM on-air staff will host the festivities throughout the day.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 2 at 10 am via Ticketmaster.com, the Live Nation box office, the BB&T Pavilion box office, Ticketmaster outlets, or by calling 800-745-3000.

John Fogerty, whose successful solo career includes the hits “Centerfield” and “The Old Man Down The Road” is responsible for some of rock music’s most timeless standards such as the Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) songs “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” and “Born On The Bayou”. CCR was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993.

After bringing their brand of Texas rock, blues and boogie to arenas around the world for over 40 years, ZZ TOP – comprised of Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard – are still hitting on all cylinders.  Their most popular songs include: “Legs,” \”Gimme All Your Lovin’, “La Grange,”  “Tush” and “Sharp Dressed Man”.
