AUGUSTA, Ga. – August 2nd, 2026 – Beasley Media Group announces the retirement of Tee Gentry, Operations Manager for the company’s Augusta radio cluster and Program Director and on-air personality for Kicks 99 (WKXC-FM). Gentry’s final day in his full-time role was July 31, concluding a distinguished 30-year career with Beasley Media Group that spanned multiple markets and leadership positions.
Throughout his three decades with the company, Gentry played an integral role in shaping programming, developing talent and serving listeners across the communities where he worked. In Augusta, he provided operational leadership for the market while guiding Kicks 99’s programming strategy and maintaining a strong on-air presence that connected with audiences throughout the region.
While retiring from his full-time position, Gentry will continue working with Beasley Media Group’s Augusta cluster in a consulting capacity. In this role, he will provide guidance on the market’s overall programming strategy, including Kicks Country, while continuing to support one of the region’s signature events, the annual Kicks 99 Guitar Pull. He also will remain involved in community relations initiatives to help ensure a smooth leadership transition and maintain the strong local connections he has cultivated throughout his career.
As part of the transition, Chris O’Kelley will serve as interim Program Director for Kicks 99 while continuing his role as the station’s midday host. In addition, Cody will expand her on-air responsibilities by taking over afternoon drive duties, strengthening the station’s weekday lineup while providing continuity for listeners.

The company will announce permanent programming leadership plans for Kicks 99 at a later date.
