DETROIT, MI — August 6th, 2026: Golf, great music, and an even greater cause came together on Sunday, August 2, as the 9th Annual Screamin’ Scott Scramble returned to Fern Hill Golf Club in Clinton Township for another unforgettable day of fun and fundraising.
Hosted by 94.7 WCSX’s Screamin’ Scott Randall, the annual charity outing once again united listeners, local businesses, volunteers, and golfers of every skill level to support The Rainbow Connection, the Michigan nonprofit that grants wishes to children facing life-threatening medical conditions.
This year’s event proved to be the biggest yet, raising an incredible $25,341—a new fundraising record that will help make even more wishes come true for Michigan families. The outing also introduced attendees to this year’s Wish Kid, Carson, whose story served as a powerful reminder of why the event continues to grow year after year.
The fun started early with breakfast during check-in and a popular Bloody Mary bar before golfers hit the course. Along the way, players enjoyed lunch at the turn, dinner after 18 holes, exciting raffles, 50/50 drawings, and one of the outing’s signature attractions—the crowd-favorite drone golf hole. Every hole offered something memorable, creating an experience that was about much more than posting a great score.
Adding to the lively atmosphere, Erik “E-Rock” Blundell entertained golfers with live music right on the course, while local businesses, sponsors, and volunteers helped keep the energy high throughout the day. Their support transformed a summer golf outing into a true community celebration.
After nine successful years, the Screamin’ Scott Scramble continues to prove that when Metro Detroit comes together, amazing things happen. Between the record-breaking donation, the smiles shared with Carson, and another day packed with unforgettable moments, the 2026 outing was a resounding success—and another major win for The Rainbow Connection and the families it serves.
