One of the most talked-about films of the year, MICHAEL, officially hit theaters on April 24, 2026—and Detroit got an unforgettable early look.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Antoine Fuqua, the film brings the life of Michael Jackson to the big screen in a powerful and cinematic way. To celebrate the release, KISS-FM and 105.1 The BOUNCE hosted an exclusive VIP premiere at Bel Air Luxury Cinema, welcoming more than 500 lucky listeners and devoted fans for a night dedicated to the King of Pop.

From the moment guests arrived, the experience was fully immersive. Radio station personalities were on hand to welcome patrons into the theater, setting the tone for an exciting evening. DJs filled the venue with classic hits from Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, instantly transporting fans through the soundtrack of his legendary career. Custom-made Michael Jackson cutouts and themed backdrops were also featured throughout the venue, giving attendees the perfect opportunity to capture memorable photos and celebrate the icon’s legacy.

Access to this star-studded screening was strictly invite-only—fans had to win their way in through KISS-FM and The BOUNCE, making it one of the most sought-after tickets in the city.

The evening was hosted by KISS-FM’s Mason & Starr, alongside Clay from The BOUNCE’s Morning RollOut. Additional on-air personalities in attendance included TuneUp, Showtime the Czar, and Kimbrough, adding to the high-energy atmosphere.
