Beasley Media Group Detroit and 101 WRIF is seeking a full-time On Air Promotions Coordinator and Digital Content Creator. This unique position is for individuals who are interested in working in both marketing and promotions, as well as creating digital content for WRIF and other Beasley Detroit stations. This position will involve coordinating on-air and online promotional giveaways for 101 WRIF for concert and sporting events, as well as sales and client-based contesting. Responsibilities include building contests and rules through the station’s on-air/online promotion web based platform, contacting station winners with details on prizes, and coordinating prize redemption through both web-based platforms and physical prize pick-ups at the station’s office building. In addition to the responsibilities in Marketing and Promotions, this position will also involve potential candidates researching and creating content for WRIF’s website and social media accounts, as well as other properties under Beasley Media Detroit. Responsibilities include researching information and creating content to produce articles and stories involving the world of rock music and pop culture, as well as Detroit and southeastern Michigan. Candidates must be detail-oriented, creative, and have the ability to deal with the public in a professional manner. They must also have strong written and verbal communication skills and be very organized to handle multiple tasks in order to meet various deadlines. Additionally, potential candidates will need to be familiar with all social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc. In order to be considered for the position, candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to travel throughout the market area.

Potential Candidates should have skills, but not limited to the following:

  • Represent the station in a positive manner.
  • Maintenance of station prize inventory
  • Interaction with station winners and clients in regard to on-air and online promotions
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for various required duties.
  • Familiarity with content creation, posting, and maintenance for social media platforms
    including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Set up and oversee station contests through VPromotions, the station’s web-based contesting
    platform.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to maintain compliance and prize distribution to listeners for
    all station promotions and contests, including contacting winners with prize details.
  • Work with the Marketing Director and Event Coordinator to assist with creating Promotion
    Street Team event paperwork for execution.
  • Assist the Program Directors, Marketing Directors, and Digital Program Director for the
    creation and production of content and articles for 101 WRIF and other Beasley Detroit
    Stations
  • Work with the Marketing Director on the creation of station contest rules for promotions when
    needed.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to help secure all needed department paperwork and files,
    inclusive of contest rules, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Maintain on-air and online prize giveaway calendar for 101 WRIF.
  • Work any station on-site appearance and events when needed.
  • Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to travel throughout the
    market area.

The Beasley Media Group of Fayetteville, NC is looking for a talented and motivated professional who understands how to promote and communicate with listeners!  The Marketing Director will work with programming, digital and sales departments to develop and execute successful promotional campaigns; build and maintain relationships with advertisers and promotional partners; serve as the liaison representing the station and its promotional opportunities. This is a position that will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Duties:

  • Attend promotional events, including set up and breakdown of equipment, provide support and interact with listeners
  • Organize and maintain promotional supplies/giveaways
  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be comfortable interacting with people at events; outgoing personality is a plus
  • Must be able to multi-task and have exceptional organization skills
  • Must have wide weekend and nighttime work availability
  • Good writing skills and creativity are integral to this position
  • Assist Sales in creating revenue-generating opportunities
  • Lead the Promotions department from concepts to completion Conduct and direct weekly promotions meeting

Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively manage and develop employees in a very busy, and creative environment
  • Familiarity with The Fayetteville North Carolina Metro area helpful, but not required
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Radio Programming & Sales, specifically individual formats and their target audiences
  • Ability to assist in maximizing promotional revenue opportunities
  • Excellent writing/editing and computer skills, including Microsoft Work, Excel, Power Point and Photoshop
  • Experience in promotions, marketing, radio or related industry preferred

Beasley Media Group is looking for a Part Time Promotions Street Team Member for our 5 station group.  Requirements of the job are an outgoing personality as you are the first person to greet our listeners and clients at our station’s public events and appearances.   You will be responsible for all aspects of preparation, set up and execution of our public appearances and live broadcasts.  The candidate must be at least 21 years old. The ability to handle light lifting up to 50 pounds plus physical activities such as setting up tents, broadcast equipment and other such items as needed, are a must.  Did we mention an outgoing and great attitude is required? The candidate must also train and show proficiency with Beasley Media Digital assets such as blog posts, social media interactions and online brand monitoring.  A good driving record is a must, as the candidate will be required to operate our radio station vehicles.   Experience with V Creative, WordPress, Adobe programs, and Microsoft Suite are a plus but not required. This is a rare opportunity to join a major market radio engineering team to work with state-of-the-art technology at Boston’s Beasley Media Group, which owns and operates 6 major radio stations in a brand-new facility. Also, as the flagship for four of Boston’s professional sports teams, this position includes the opportunity to work on-site for live remotes including play-by-play sports broadcasts. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and IT, your duties include, but are not limited to, studio and transmitter maintenance and construction, remote broadcast engineering, as well as troubleshooting RF Systems, audio routing systems, and working with corporate and local IT. The ideal candidate will be successful in working well with the staff, thinking clearly under pressure, and applying creative solutions in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree in a related field or
  • Minimum of 2 years of radio engineering experience
  • Knowledge of RF Systems and RF troubleshooting skills a plus
  • Experience with radio studio construction and maintenance
  • Experience with WideOrbit Radio Automation software is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to provide helpdesk support to end users for Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures regarding Networking
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be willing to work off hours and be on call
