Beasley Media Group Announces On Air Staff Promotions at V 101.9 & Power 98 in Charlotte

Charlotte, NC (September 24, 2018): Beasley Media Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBGI) announces the following on air staff promotions on V 101.9 & Power 98 in Charlotte:

Brian “Mr. Incognito” Robinson has been promoted to the position of Program Director at WBAV-FM/ V 101.9-FM & WPEG-FM/Power 98-FM. Robinson, who has been with the station since 1997, most recently served as Assistant Program Director of Power 98. Previously, he worked as the Music Director, Afternoon Drive Host and Co-host for the No Limit Larry Morning Maddhouse Morning Show.

“I would like to thank Bill Schoening and John Reynolds for their leadership in giving me this amazing opportunity to lead a great team,” said Robinson, “I look forward to taking both stations to the next level and continuing to impact the Charlotte community in a positive way.”

In addition, Janine Davis has been promoted to the position of Midday Host at WBAV-FM/V101.9. Davis is a 30-year radio veteran who most recently served as the Traffic Correspondent for WPEG-FM and WBAV-FM as well as former producer of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

“I started my career with Beasley and it\’s such a rewarding experience to come full circle nearly 30 years later,” said Davis. “When I got the news, I thought ‘we have been courting for a while so I \’m just glad they finally decided to put a ring on it!’”

“Nikki “Ya Girl Nikki” Davis has also been named as the new Afternoon Drive Host at WPEG/Power 98-FM. She joined the Charlotte cluster in March 2017, where she successfully hosted nights on WPEG after coming from sister station, WZFX in Fayetteville. In June 2018, Davis was named “Large Market Personality of the Year” by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasting (NCAB).

“From being honored by the NCAB, to locking down the afternoon slot, this has been an AMAZING year,” said Davis. “I’m excited about the future with Beasley Media Group!”
