Paul Kelly Named New Morning Host of Beasley Media Group’s 102.9 WMGK-FM in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA (11/25/25): Beasley Media Group announces that Paul Kelly has been named the new Morning Host of 102.9 WMGK-FM, beginning Monday, December 1, 2025.

Kelly has been part of the WMGK family since March 2019, serving as the station’s versatile “designated hitter,” heard on weekends, holidays, and fill-in shifts across the schedule. Born and raised in Philadelphia, his passion for radio began in grade school, when he frequently visited the station for studio tours, swag, and the chance to meet his favorite personalities.

“This has been a dream come true- rocking in the same building I visited on my bike as a kid,” said Kelly. “It’s been amazing working alongside the personalities I grew up listening to – Matt Cord, Tony Harris, John DeBella, Debbi Calton, and Andre Gardner!”

Kelly launched his on-air career in 1989 at WZXL/Atlantic City and went on to hold roles at stations in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Scranton, and Poughkeepsie, including positions as Morning Host, Afternoon Drive Host, Imaging/Production Director, and Program Director. In 2001, he joined Philadelphia-based Kelly Music Research, Inc. as Vice President/Operations Manager.

He is also a founding member of Kelly Music For Life, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that produces concerts, festivals, and arts events throughout Haverford Township and operates The Kelly Center in Havertown, supporting music education and community initiatives.

“Paul Kelly is the perfect fit to lead mornings at WMGK,” said Beasley Philadelphia Vice President and Market Manager Paul Blake. “He has been a trusted and versatile part of our family for 6 years, and as a Philadelphia native who grew up listening to this station, he truly understands MGK’s heritage. Paul’s passion for the music and connection with our listeners make him a natural choice for this role.”

“Paul’s deep Philadelphia roots, his lifelong love of classic rock, and the genuine connection he’s built with our listeners over the years make him the ideal choice for mornings on WMGK,” said Station Program Director Chuck Damico. “He understands this city, he understands this music, and he brings an energy and authenticity that resonate with our audience every time he cracks the mic. We’re excited to have him leading our morning show and continuing the tradition of great radio on MGK.”

Listeners can hear The Paul Kelly Morning Show weekdays from 6:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. on 102.9 WMGK-FM, on the MGK app, and at WMGK.com.

Paul replaces Matt Cord, who will begin his new role on Monday, December 1st as Midday Personality on 93.3 WMMR-FM.
