Description: Responsible for producing the daily radio show of one of Philadelphia’s most prominent radio personalities. Daily tasks include preparing information for each day’s 4+ hour program, creating and maintaining the host’s digital presence, planning SEO-driven content, writing articles, posting content on the station website, sharing and engaging on social media channels; brainstorming feature programming; fulfilling promotional contesting; fielding interview requests, coordinating guests; screening phone calls; editing and posting podcasts; managing live announcement copy-compliance; recording, editing and filing of audio and archival material; keeping air talent focused and on-time; Job also includes the office duties, organizing listener and personal correspondence, producing off-site live broadcasts, and occasionally attending radio station appearances.
Requirements: US citizen; minimum 1 year radio experience; (eventual) AFTRA affiliation.
Qualifications: Highly organized; motivated self-starter; ability to anticipate show host’s needs; proficient audio editor; skilled writer; innovative content creator; strong communicator; prepared for coordination between programming, promotion, engineering, and sales departments; technical abilities to operate radio control board and other recording and playback equipment; familiar with SEO best practices; graphic design and video editing skills a plus
