Beasley Media Group Detroit announces 105.1 The BOUNCE teamed up with Lafontaine KIA, Community Financial Credit Union, Northwestern Technological Institute and Lady Jane’ s Wicked Awesome Wishes to present the 2nd Annual Gello’s Big Top Toy Drop.
105.1 THE BOUNCE Morning Personality Gello will broadcast his show live and will stay on site from 6am-5pm Thursday December 10th – Saturday December 12th at Lafontaine KIA in Dearborn. Gello is asking listeners to practice social distancing as they drop off toy donations at this year’s drive-up and drop off toy donation site in the parking lot of LaFontaine KIA Dearborn. The donated items will be distributed at Lady Jane’s Haircut for Man Wicked Awesome Wishes and Ronald McDonald House in Detroit.
“If we have the means or opportunity to help a child,” said Gello. “As a community, I think it’s our job to do so! It takes a village and thinking about kids waking up Christmas morning without a toy is heartbreaking. Let’s do it for the kids!”
Last year, Gello raised over $40,000 in new toys for children during the holiday season. He is hoping to break that number this year as the need is even greater to help the many kids in the Detroit area this Christmas.
