Rocket League was developed by Psyonix and is owned by Epic Games, the same game publishing powerhouse responsible for Fortnite. The free-to-play game has quickly become a huge esports opportunity in the last few years; with over 90M monthly active users as a family-friendly title that reaches a younger audience. Beasley Esports sees this as an exciting opportunity to expand its esports footprint with a fan-favorite game—and to give one Rocket League team the chance of a lifetime!
“Beasley Esports’ expansion into Rocket League will give our organization the ability to scale and reach many more fans almost overnight,” says Lori Burgess, Chief Operating Officer of Beasley Esports. “With Rocket League being such a tremendously popular game—especially with the high-school and college market, we hope to bring immense value to our fans and sponsors, making Houston and South Texas an epicenter for esports.”
Beasley Esports will be offering opportunities for brands to align with the tournament series and the newly crowned team–including naming rights for the team and integrations into next season’s broadcasts, video content, streams, social media and events.
“As a diehard Rocket League fan, I am extremely excited to work with Beasley Esports on building the next pro team for the RLCS” said Luke Thompson, Head of Esports for ReedPop/PAX. “Three lucky Rocketeers are about to have an incredible chance to make their esports dreams come true in a really big way.”
