Beasley Media Group’s 98.5 The Sports Hub’s annual donation drive brought in more than $12,000 and a truck load of toys to help make the holidays brighter for Boston-area families in need.
This year, the station doubled their efforts to benefit Christmas in the City (CITC), a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to helping relieve the impact of homelessness and poverty on Boston-area children and their families.
The Meet and Greet and live broadcast took place on Friday, December 1st at Legacy Place in Dedham, MA. The event, combined with the duo’s annual Live Broadcast from the Seaport Hotel leading up to the Christmas In the City wreath auction and mixer on Thursday, December 7th, helped to surpass last year’s final totals.
In addition, 98.5 The Sports Hub clients, Town Fair Tire and Keches Law, made generous monetary donations to support the annual drive to benefit CITC.
Afternoon Drive Personalities Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti, along with Jim Murray, hosted both events. The show and station have a longtime relationship with CITC and look forward to 2024!
