102.9 WMGK-FM’s 19th Annual Veterans Radiothon Raises Over $121,000 to Benefit Philadelphia Veterans

Philadelphia, PA (July 1, 2025): Beasley Media Group’s 102.9 WMGK proudly announced that its 19th Annual Veterans Radiothon raised an impressive $121,004.36 to support local veterans through the Veterans Multi-Service Center in Philadelphia.

The 12-hour live broadcast took place on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Beasley Media Group Event Center. The station’s airstaff, led by Matt Cord, Kristen Herrmann, and Tony Harris, encouraged listeners throughout the day to donate in support of the heroes who have bravely served our country.

The Radiothon featured exciting auctions, prize giveaways, and appearances from special guests, including MGK alum and original event organizer John DeBella. John Brazer, Director of Fun and Games for the Philadelphia Phillies, also joined Matt Cord on air as a guest co-host, bringing additional enthusiasm to the broadcast.

WMGK sponsors and advertisers demonstrated their commitment to veterans by making generous contributions live on air, helping to drive the total fundraising amount to over $121,000. All proceeds from the event directly benefited the Veterans Multi-Service Center, which provides critical services and support to veterans in need throughout the Philadelphia region.

“We are incredibly grateful to our listeners, sponsors, and everyone who contributed to make this year’s Radiothon a success,” said Beasley Media Group Philadelphia Vice President and Cluster Manager Paul Blake. “Their generosity will make a real difference in the lives of local veterans.”
