JOB SUMMARY

Beasley Media Group, LLC is seeking a dynamic self-starter, who is motivated and passionate about Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources executes HR policies designed to build an engaged workforce, drive positive culture, and achieve company goals. This position serves as a vital advocate for the company’s 1300 employees, owning all programs and policies pertaining to the employee experience, such as recruiting, onboarding, compensation and benefits, health and wellness, and its DEI initiatives. The Director works with the executive team to continue to develop, implement, and maintain strategic plans and best practices for the human resources function, ensuring the plans and practices are consistent with overall company goals and objectives, and in accordance with governing rules and regulations.

This position can be located in any of the Company markets listed above and reports to the General Counsel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating an atmosphere for positive employee relations.
  • Assist with the Company’s  DEI initiative.
  • Managing and administering benefits and compensation cost.
  • Managing relationship with PEO and benefits providers.
  • Managing staffing process for all hirings.
  • Working with accounting departments on budgeted headcount and monitoring staffing levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, to include hiring and terminations.
  • Maintaining and updating Company policies and procedures and employee training programs.
  • Keeping the Employee Handbook current with all employment related laws.
  • Managing unemployment cases and EEOC matters, with legal counsel when required.
  • Maintaining regular contact with vendors and third parties that support HR functions.
  • Infrequent travel to Company markets, as requested.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
    • Human Resources certification preferred.
    • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
    • Experience in other HR related software preferred.
    • Knowledge and training in employee relations.
    • Knowledge and training in state and federal laws, concepts, theories, and practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to implement broad based policies with Company-wide impact.
    • Demonstrated ability to present information to diverse audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both internal and external partners.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop solutions using creativity, resourcefulness, and diplomacy.
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt and persevere.
    • Demonstrated ability to be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing budgets.
    • Regular and sustained attendance required.
    • Experience working with Professional Employer Organizations preferred but not required.
