Beasley Media Group Community of Caring Initiative
The Beasley Media Group Community of Caring public service initiative is a companywide initiative across the organization’s 61 radio outlets. Started in 2018, the quarterly campaigns consist of several aspects, including a series of public service announcements aimed at shining a spotlight on important issues impacting the local communities the company serves.
Quarterly topics have ranged from the on-going opioid epidemic and the covid pandemic to bullying, racism and mental health awareness in the veteran community.
The public service announcements are supported with on-air interviews and important digital content posted across BMG’s social media channels.
The Community of Caring Initiative is a past recipient of the 2019 National Association of Broadcasters Service to America Award for its impact in the communities Beasley Media Group serves.
Quote from Caroline:
“As a company, we take all of these issues very seriously,” said Beasley Media Group CEO Caroline Beasley. “The rotating PSA and social media campaigns, combined with our Day of Caring events across all of our markets, underscores our company’s strong commitment to making a difference in the communities we serve.”
