Boston, MA (12/3/2108): Beasley XP, a division of Beasley Media Group, LLC, announces Checkpoint XP, the only nationally syndicated Esports radio show heard daily on the Checkpoint XP channel on Twitch and weekly in the U.S. and Canada on the Westwood One Radio Network, will provide extensive coverage of the upcoming inaugural 2018 Boston Uprising Collegiate Cup. The live event will take place on Saturday, December 8th and feature a 6v6 clash between the final four teams at Laugh Boston. The remaining teams are esports clubs from Boston University, Northeastern University, University of Connecticut and Emerson College.

Team Checkpoint XP Casters’ Norris Howard and Robbie Landis will be on site broadcasting live on the CheckpointXP Channel on Twitch, providing gamers with comprehensive coverage as these four local New England schools and their Overwatch players look to display their skills for a chance to win a trip to Blizzard Arena in Burbank, CA to see the Boston Uprising compete in the 2019 Season.

The live event will not be open to the public, as capacity at the Laugh Boston venue is limited. However, the Boston Uprising Collegiate Cup will be streamed on the Uprising’s Twitch channel.

“The Collegiate Cup presents a great opportunity for the Boston Uprising to collaborate with area colleges to grow the Overwatch League throughout New England,” said Jennifer Ferron, chief marketing officer of Kraft Sports and Entertainment. “We are excited to work with Beasley Media Group to make this a possibility and look forward to working together in the future.”
