The event will serve as the official kickoff to WMGK’s Summer of Classic Rock, a collection of classic rock concerts featuring some of the most popular bands in the classic rock radio format. The event will feature superlative American Songwriter & Founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty plus ZZ Top, the Texas three-piece band whose powerful, soulful, blues-rock has sold tens of millions of records and delighted thousands of fans at concert arenas for over four decades.
There will be plenty of activities on-site for attendees to enjoy! WMGK-FM on-air staff will host the festivities throughout the day.

John Fogerty, whose successful solo career includes the hits “Centerfield” and “The Old Man Down The Road” is responsible for some of rock music’s most timeless standards such as the Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) songs “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” and “Born On The Bayou”. CCR was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993.
After bringing their brand of Texas rock, blues and boogie to arenas around the world for over 40 years, ZZ TOP – comprised of Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard – are still hitting on all cylinders.
